So exhausted, but last night was totally worth it. Seeing Taking Back Sunday with John and Shaun back in the band was just fantastic. The chemistry of the band, the reaction of the crowd, and the smiling faces of the band’s families just brought the whole experience together. I walked out covered in beer and sweat, but most importantly with an experience that made me feel like I was 12 again, hearing Tell All Your Friends for the first time and opening my eyes to a new world of music. This show is something I know I will never forget and I know these songs will always hold a special place in my heart.
Taking Back Sunday on Wednesday, which I am especially excited for as it is the lineup from the TAYF days. I was never allowed to go to shows when I was younger, but I’ve seriously been listening to this band since I was 12, so it’s a big deal for me to get to see them like this. Then Friday I get to see Valencia, who I have never seen, in a venue that is tiny and hotter than an oven which should make for an interesting time. Then Saturday I get to go to Bamboozle Roadshow for free and see 3 bands I care about, 2 bands that will make me feel like I’m in middle school, and a whole lot of crap. Hopefully the weather stays as nice as it was today and nothing goes wrong. Plus I have barely any hours of work this week, which is great, and I finally got to go in my pool today.
Finally bit the bullet and decide I’m going to save up for an LV Speedy. I know some people think it’s overplayed or whatever, but I still think it’s classic and have always wanted one. My goal is to stop eating out so much and spending money on other dumb things, and putting aside like $100 a week for it (and convincing my parents to put a little towards it?). Hopefully this means I’ll be able to get it by August. Now 25 or 30, and Monogram or Damier Ebene? hmmm
