No Doubt Announces 2009 Summer Tour With Special Guest Paramore The Sounds, Janelle Monae and Bedouin Soundclash To Support on Select Dates
LOS ANGELES, CA – Grammy-winning rock band No Doubt announced plans for their 2009 summer tour today.
The band will launch their highly anticipated tour this May, playing outdoor amphitheaters and arenas throughout the summer. Singer Gwen Stefani said, “The whole reason for going on this tour was to have fun, try on all our favorite songs again and to get inspired to make new music. It feels good to be all together again.”
No Doubt has selected Paramore as the special guest for the tour. “What a dream tour! We couldn’t be more excited to kick off 2009 by touring with a band like No Doubt,” said Paramore singer Hayley Williams.
"Get there early…this is going to a be a great night from the moment the lights go down," said bassist Tony Kanal.
The third act that will open the show will be shared among The Sounds, Janelle Monae and Bedouin Soundclash. Check your local listings for more specific information.
“Now that five years have passed, the excitement level for us is extremely high. We are so fresh and ready! I feel like a kid again when rehearsing these songs,” said drummer Adrian Young.
The 2009 No Doubt Summer Tour will be produced by Live Nation and will include stops in both the U.S. and Canada. The band last toured in 2004, co-headlining with Blink 182.

So after looking through this, I feel like I have the biggest split personality ever. On one hand I love fashion. Clothes, Bags, Shoes, Celebrities, Gossip, Girly things and all that good stuff. On the other hand I love music. From pop to hardcore, indie to rap, I’m just into everything. As I type this I’m listening to A Day To Remember while reading an interview with John Galliano. When I was at Pace, I met someone who became my friend; she was looking through my Ipod and said “you don’t look like someone who would listen to this kind of music”. But really, can you just make an assumption by the way someone looks/dresses? I love when people are surprised to learn something about me, a little fact or detail they would of never guessed. I love more learning new things about other people and just immersing myself in culture. I want to travel around the world just to experience how others live. It’s amazing how different yet similar people are. I used to judge people a lot on how they look/act, but why do I have the right to do that when I myself am probably not that great. But right now, I love the person I am. Am I always happy with myself? No. But I learn from my experiences and push myself to be a better me. So when it all comes down to it, don’t be afraid to let your personality show. Who cares what others think? As long as you are content with who you are, let the world see who you are. Don’t hide yourself, take a risk, do something different, and let yourself stand out as an individual.
